Pancakes - Easy American Style Breakfast (vg/gf)

You can’t be sad or grumpy on any day starting with pancakes. Thats the law, its new, and i just made it up, but it should be real!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Self raising flour

  • 1 tsp Rape seed oil

  • 2 1/2 cup Oat milk

  • 1 tsp Baking powder

  • 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar

How to make it

This little recipe couldn’t get much easier, honestly.

Simply place all ingredients into A ample size bowl and whisk, thats it.

It should be more thick than runny, Think of good custard and you’ll be about there.

You’ll need your pan on a moderate heat and make sure its had plenty of time to come up to temperature. This, as with any pancake this is probably the trickiest bit but you’ll work it out quickly as you cook off the first couple.

Once hot, you can oil your pan and ladle in your mix. You can make your pancakes any size you like, pan size dependent. We use a flat skillet and aim to fit 4 palm sized one into each batch. Just remember to give larger ones a slightly lower heat to allow the middles time to set.

Aim to have the the rounds cooked 3/4 of the way through before you flip them. DO NOT SQUISH! No matter how tempted you are.

Once they are evenly browned on both sides, remove and make more. They don’t last long so be prepared to make masses. Saying that, any leftover can be frozen and simply toasted from frozen too reheat.
